Bear Repairs are very professional, honest, and knowledgable. I hired them to fix what I thought was an issue with a leaking connector piece where my water softener discharged water. It turned out I had a partial whole house blockage. Thank you Bear Repairs for correctly diagnosing the problem and saving us from a major situation. I highly recommend this company!

I was referred to Bears by two different family members who had good experiences with them, but unfortunately I was left disappointed. I had them come out to give a quote (and then hopefully schedule) to have several valves replaced throughout my house. The plumber arrived and was already clearly flustered and said how busy he's been. That's fine, I grew up in a trades household so I get it. He looked at the valves and then spent most of his 12 minutes in the house trying to get the system on the iPad to work. He charged me $97 and gave me my estimate. Didn't tell me about their loyalty program (that I knew about because my family used them), didn't ask about setting up an appointment to fix the items I had quoted, and didn't tell me the $97 would get credited/rolled into the repair bill if we had them do the work. I was left shocked at how much higher his estimate was than another company we've used who has a reputation in town for overcharging. After he left I decided to call the office because being someone who was raised in the trades and who currently works with electricians, I found it odd that they charged me for an estimate. I spoke with someone at the office and she said she needed to make some calls because I should've been told about the $97 being credited for a job scheduled, etc. She said she would call me back and told me it "could be as late as monday" to which I said that's fine (this was a friday). Well, Monday has come and gone and I haven't heard from anyone so apparently they are keeping my $97 and losing the large amounts of plumbing work my 54 year old house has coming up in the near future. It's very unprofessional to make a customer feel like they are stressing you out and that's how they made me feel at my appointment. Then the office gave lip service about checking in on it and calling me back and never doing that. No thank you, there are plenty of other plumbing companies in the area.

Plumber came out because I was pretty sure that the drain for the washer/water softener was frozen. He had to cut into my wall and unfroze the drain which was frozen. I agreed because I knew to prevent it from freezing again a hole would need to be done. After he was done he said that because the drain is on an exterior wall and until the temperatures go up, it will continue to freeze, so not to use the softener and washer until the temps go up. (unacceptable). I specifically called a plumber because I needed a solution to keep it from freezing not to be told to not use it in freezing temps because it would continue to freeze. If I knew all he would have done was unfreeze the drain with no solution to “fix” the problem I would never have paid $600 to unfreeze a drain to then not be able to use it until the temps go up. If I knew that is all he was going to do I would never have let him cut into my wall or unfreeze the drain.. if i have to wait until the temps are up enough to use it when the drain would unfreeze itself, why would anyone pay that type of money when the weather would have unfroze the drain naturally. I DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!

I was referred to Aaron and Bear Repairs by my brother who owns a kitchen remodeling business (Kitchen Tune-Ups) as I had just purchased a new home in Carmel and wanted to do some plumbing upgrades in our kitchen and bathrooms. From start to finish, Aaron and his team were nothing less than professional. I reached out to them, had a response back literally within a few minutes, and detailed my project requirements. As I haven't yet moved to the area and this project was being managed remote, I gave detailed information on the project and Aaron and his team came out, gave me a very detailed competitively priced estimate. As some of my materials were delayed last minute, they had to do the project in 2 phases. Aaron and his colleagues came out, kept me updated on the status of the projects, and the project is now complete. I would highly recommend working with Bear Repairs. Pricing, professionalism, and work are nothing less than stellar! A truly unique business in today's environment! A "10" all around! Scheduling the service was quick and easy, and I was hopeful for a smooth experience. However, after the repair was completed, the technician must’ve accidentally locked the closet door and now I can’t access it. (Since we’ve just moved in, I need to change the lock, and the closet houses the hot water heater, which I need to be able to access.)I’ve been trying to get in touch with a manager to resolve the issue, but despite being promised twice by the receptionist that someone would call me, no one has reached out. It’s been very frustrating, and I’m still waiting for a solution.Would love to have this addressed as soon as possible.

Call Bear Repairs now if you have a plumbing emergency!! Aaron Barrett (owner), Mike & the entire Bear Repairs team have saved the day and my house twice in the last two months. I had a huge water heater leak & most recently frozen water pipes! They showed up very quickly day-of, talked me through possible scenarios, and provided clear, fair & up front quotes. They also replaced two bathroom faucets - not an emergency - so great for maintenance & repair too! Bear Repairs IS the BEST in the business!!
