CHECK YOUR WATER HEATER! Our water heater failed, rusted, cracked open, turned into Niagara Falls and it was mounted above the ceiling over our office space in Westfield. Bear Repair REPLACED it for us right away as soon as we called them. SAME Day service. They were amazing to work with. But, I sure wish I would have had them check my situation as a preventative measure, because the leak isn't just a leak. Water keeps running into and out of the tank until you turn the water off, and that was after it flooded our shop all weekend. What a mess. So, do yourself a favor and have Bear Repair check your water heater and fix if needed - BEFORE IT FAILS. You are welcome!

Josh did a great job of selling then installing a water softener for me, all in one day. I’d evaluated two other vendors already; one only communicated with me via email, and the other was priced way out of my budget. I was impressed with this local small business from the ease of their online appointment booking, the installer was the seller so he knew what he was talking about, and, he successfully worked around a major problem caused by my builder which will be dealt with next week. I highly recommend Bear Repair for your water softener and general plumbing needs.Update 5/14/2025: Since my builder made a behind the wall plumbing error (fixed 5/13/2025), owner Aaron called then came over to make sure the entire project was completed correctly, by both plumbers. All is well. He did NOT have to do that; wow, that is excellent customer service!! Thank you!!

Bear Repairs recently replaced the sump pump in the crawl space of my home and removed a few inches of water in the process. Their customer service was excellent and they were able to come within a few days of my initial phone call. The two techs arrived on time and were very professional and courteous. They answered all of my questions and let me know exactly what was being done. Their work is warranted and they offer service agreements. I was highly pleased with this company.

Bear Repairs installed a backup sump pump around 1.5 years ago. It kept beeping and they came out to check it for maintenance. With a check of no issues, they covered it under warranty. Will definitely continue to use them as they are reliable, knowledgeable, and fair in their service delivery.

I was referred to Bears by two different family members who had good experiences with them, but unfortunately I was left disappointed. I had them come out to give a quote (and then hopefully schedule) to have several valves replaced throughout my house. The plumber arrived and was already clearly flustered and said how busy he's been. That's fine, I grew up in a trades household so I get it. He looked at the valves and then spent most of his 12 minutes in the house trying to get the system on the iPad to work. He charged me $97 and gave me my estimate. Didn't tell me about their loyalty program (that I knew about because my family used them), didn't ask about setting up an appointment to fix the items I had quoted, and didn't tell me the $97 would get credited/rolled into the repair bill if we had them do the work. I was left shocked at how much higher his estimate was than another company we've used who has a reputation in town for overcharging. After he left I decided to call the office because being someone who was raised in the trades and who currently works with electricians, I found it odd that they charged me for an estimate. I spoke with someone at the office and she said she needed to make some calls because I should've been told about the $97 being credited for a job scheduled, etc. She said she would call me back and told me it "could be as late as monday" to which I said that's fine (this was a friday). Well, Monday has come and gone and I haven't heard from anyone so apparently they are keeping my $97 and losing the large amounts of plumbing work my 54 year old house has coming up in the near future. It's very unprofessional to make a customer feel like they are stressing you out and that's how they made me feel at my appointment. Then the office gave lip service about checking in on it and calling me back and never doing that. No thank you, there are plenty of other plumbing companies in the area.
